PORCH Program

PORCH is a non-profit organization that provides food assistance to families in need with school-aged children in Hickory, no currently being met by other organizations.

The Backpack Program

The Backpack Program is a free program of The Corner Table Soup Kitchen that is designed to meet nutritional needs of children and families who need food assistance when school is out, throughout the school year.

If you would like for your child to participate in The Backpack Program please print the PDF permission slip below (you can send in a note with your child if you need a printed copy sent home). After you have complete the permission form please return it to the school.

The Catawba County Christmas Bureau is a collaborative eﬀort among many Catawba County agencies and organizations to provide toys, clothing and coats to children and teenagers (ages birth to 17) in need of assistance during the Christmas season. Families served must be residents of Catawba County.
